At the end of last school year we started experimenting with freezing individual portions of meals for lunch boxes and found that those old Tupperware hamburger pattie containers freeze food into a perfect shape to pop into a Mr. Bento lunch container. I usually spray the plastic with a little pam to make sure they are extra easy to pop out of the tupperware. They are great for lunches or light meals at home. Since they are individual portions they reheat quickly. You can use these for everything from leftovers to individual desserts.

Excellent idea! Can you believe I just threw a bunch of those hamburger patty things in the yard sale box because I didn't know what to do with them. I better go dig them out. This will be great for my kids lunch boxes.

This is a great idea! I have a jumbo muffin pan that I might try out - I could wrap them after they freeze.
What a terrific idea! Since I don't have any of those nifty Tupperware containers, I'll have to find a nice substitute - I'm off to raid my plastics cabinet :)
I'm going to have to find those burger thingies at a garage sale. Obviously, the 17 year old doesn't bring lunch. But my daughter sometimes likes to pack things for work.
I just have a question, though...don't the mushrooms get all icky when you freeze them?
Mom2for- I have never had a problem with freezing mushrooms but I always cook them first.

Cool Idea! I use snack bags for individual servings of left over sloppy joes or Italian beef or other sandwich fillings, but then have to transfer to something to heat it up. I've got a bunch of these hamburger things squirreled away somewhere!
